Do you take reservations?

Yes, we take limited reservations through our website by calling 306.242.0116. If you are unable to get a reservation at your preferred time, try dropping by – we always save room for walk-ins! Our door is first come first serve, and if we have a wait when you arrive, we will take your name and number and call you when your table is ready. During peak times, all the members of your party must be present in order to be seated and we have a 2 hour dining limit. 

Is there a place to wait for a table?

Our vestibule is small so we can welcome you at the bar if seats are available or we invite you to explore the beautiful historic Riversdale neighborhood, or visit one of our neighbors for a drink. Our sister restaurant, Cohen's Beer Republic is right next door.

Do you take reservations for large parties?

We share a Private Dining Room with our sister restaurant Cohen's, with seating up to 12.

Is Picaro inclusive?

Yes! We welcome guests of all ages, and have highchairs available. Reservations recommended for appropriate table height.

Picaro warmly welcomes all races, all countries of origin, all genders, all abilities.

Is the restaurant wheelchair accessible?

Yes - the entrance is wheelchair accessible, we have tables of the appropriate height and an accessible washroom. When possible, write us a note in your reservation so we can set aside the perfect table for you.

What should I expect from the menu?

If it’s beer and nachos, margaritas and churros, or platters of tacos for date night or family dinner - we’ve got a menu that can satisfy your needs. Our motto is “Latin Local,” with distinct flavours that are reminiscent of Mexico crafted with local ingredients. Our menu focuses on inauthentic, elevated tacos made right behind our bar with a variety of braised meats and vegetables, unique toppings, and housemade salsas served in corn tortillas. We also offer a range of craveable starters, sides, and desserts to share with the table or devour on your own (we don’t judge!).

Can you accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions?

Yes! We take your dietary needs seriously. Most of our menu can be made gluten free (including all of our tacos!), and much of our menu can be modified to accommodate dietary choices and allergy concerns. Our staff are all trained to know exactly what is in each dish we prepare. We encourage you ask your server for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and other allergen options and modifications, and let us know of any allergies (not all ingredients are listed on our menu).

Are you vegetarian/vegan friendly?

Yes, many of our menu items can easily be adjusted to be vegetarian, and we have several vegan options available.

Where are your ingredients from?

Almost all of our food and bar syrups are prepared in house with ingredients from local suppliers, when available. A range of items, including meat, eggs, beer, produce, bread, coffee, spirits, tea, honey, hand soap, grains, and much more, are proudly produced in Saskatchewan.

Do you offer your menu for takeout?

Not at this time. We have found that our menu is best enjoyed in house. You can find our nachos, a Picaro burrito, and churros at Cohen's Beer Republic, available for takeout!

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we have gift cards in any denomination you would like. They can be purchased over the phone, in person, or here. Gift cards for Picaro can also be redeemed at Cohen's Beer Republic.
